Item No. RGS-016
Rubber O-rings designed for PVC pipes are generally pre-installed during pipe production via the factory's belling process, forming an integrated captive sealing ring within the pipe socket. These O-rings provide a reliable, watertight seal at pipe joints without the need for additional adhesives, solvents, or mechanical fasteners.
Precision-molded rubber O-rings – engineered for PVC pipe socket grooves
Pre-installed captive design – factory-fitted during the belling process
Field-fit options available – loose O-rings for on-site installation
Excellent compression recovery – maintains sealing force over time
Watertight sealing performance – prevents leakage at pipe joints
Multiple material options – EPDM, NBR, SBR, silicone, and custom compounds
Chemical & aging resistant – suitable for water, wastewater, and industrial fluids
Wide temperature range – performs reliably in diverse environments
Smooth surface finish – ensures easy insertion and proper seating
Customizable – sizes, cross-sections, hardness, and materials to your specifications
Reliable Watertight Sealing – Precision-molded O-rings compress evenly within the socket groove, creating a consistent, leak-free seal at every pipe joint.
Integrated Captive Design – Factory pre-installed O-rings eliminate the risk of loss or misplacement during transport and on-site handling, speeding up installation.
Easy Field Installation – Loose O-rings can be fitted quickly on site before jointing – simply clean the groove and seat the ring neatly for a secure connection.
Excellent Compression Recovery – High-quality rubber compounds maintain sealing force over time, even under repeated pressure cycles and ground movement.
Water supply networks – municipal and residential water distribution pipes
Wastewater & drainage systems – sewer, stormwater, and drainage pipelines
Irrigation systems – agricultural and landscape irrigation networks
Industrial piping – chemical transfer, cooling water, and process lines
Building services – plumbing, rainwater harvesting, and HVAC pipework
Swimming pool & spa systems – filtration and circulation pipe connections
Material Options
EPDM, NBR, SBR, Silicone, Neoprene, Custom compounds
Hardness (Shore A)
50 – 75 (customizable)
Installation Type
Pre-installed (factory belling) or field-fit (loose)
Application
PVC pipe socket groove sealing
Temperature Range
-30°C to +120°C (depending on material)
Standard: Goods are typically supplied in about 20-25kg/carton.
Standardized Pallets: Goods are stacked on heat-treated (ISPM 15) or plastic pallets, optimized for forklift handling. Rigid Corner Protectors: High-impact cardboard corner guards are applied to the full height of the stack. This prevents the straps from cutting into the rubber and maintains the vertical integrity of the pallet.
What is the difference between a pre-installed and a field-fit O-ring?
Pre-installed O-rings are fitted during the factory belling process and remain captive in the pipe socket. Field-fit O-rings are loose rings installed on site immediately before pipe jointing.
Should I remove the O-ring from the pipe socket during installation?
No. Never detach captive sealing rings from pipe sockets during on-site installation. They are designed to remain in place throughout handling and jointing.
How do I install a loose O-ring on site?
Carry out this step right prior to pipe jointing. Thoroughly clean the socket groove, then seat the O-ring neatly and evenly into the groove before inserting the spigot end.
What materials are available for PVC pipe O-rings?
We offer EPDM, NBR, SBR, silicone, neoprene, and custom compounds. EPDM is most common for water and wastewater applications.
What is the typical hardness of these O-rings?
Standard hardness ranges from 50 to 75 Shore A, depending on the application and required sealing force.
Are these O-rings suitable for buried pipelines?
Yes. EPDM O-rings offer excellent resistance to water, soil chemicals, UV, and aging, making them ideal for buried water and drainage pipelines.
Can these O-rings be used with chemicals and oils?
NBR compounds offer good resistance to oils and fuels. For specific chemical compatibility, please consult our technical team.
What temperature range can these O-rings withstand?
Depending on material, from -30°C to +120°C. High-temperature grades are available upon request.
Do you offer custom sizes?
Absolutely. We manufacture O-rings to your technical drawings or samples – any inner diameter, cross-section, hardness, and material.
