Item No. PP-005
PU rollers are durable, elastic wheels and rollers made of cast polyurethane, used in conveying, guiding, and load-bearing applications across industrial and mechanical systems. They roll smoothly under load while cushioning impacts, absorbing vibration, and reducing friction between moving parts.
Compared with ordinary rubber rollers, polyurethane offers higher stiffness, much better wear resistance, and greater load capacity. PU rollers resist abrasion, tearing, and oil contamination far better than rubber, making them the preferred choice for high-cycle conveying, guide systems, and precision machinery where rubber would wear out too quickly.
Cast polyurethane construction – durable, elastic, and dimensionally stable
Higher stiffness than rubber – better load-bearing and lower rolling resistance
Superior wear resistance – outlasts rubber in high-friction applications
Excellent tear & abrasion resistance – withstands continuous rolling contact
Low rolling friction – smooth, quiet operation and reduced energy consumption
Good vibration & impact absorption – cushions shock between moving parts
Oil & chemical resistant – performs well in contaminated environments
Wide hardness range – 60 Shore A to 60 Shore D to suit different applications
Bonded metal cores available – for secure mounting and precise fitment
Custom casting available – any size, shape, hardness, and color
Higher Stiffness & Load Capacity – Polyurethane supports heavier loads with less deflection than rubber, ensuring stable, precise rolling performance under demanding conditions.
Superior Wear Resistance – PU outlasts rubber by 2 to 5 times in high-friction rolling environments, dramatically reducing replacement frequency and maintenance costs.
Excellent Tear & Abrasion Resistance – Resists cutting, chunking, and edge wear that quickly destroy rubber rollers in continuous industrial use.
Low Rolling Friction – Smooth, quiet operation with reduced energy consumption — ideal for conveyor and guide systems.
Oil & Chemical Tolerance – Performs well in oily, greasy, and contaminated environments where natural rubber would swell or degrade.
Conveyor systems – belt rollers, guide rollers, idler rollers
Material handling – pallet rollers, cart wheels, load-bearing rollers
Industrial machinery – feed rollers, pinch rollers, tension rollers
Printing & packaging – paper feed rollers, nip rollers, film guide rollers
Textile machinery – yarn guide rollers, fabric tension rollers
Food processing – sanitary conveyor rollers (food-grade options available)
Material
Polyurethane (PU)
Features
Wear resistant, abrasion resistant, tear resistant, high load capacity, oil resistant, vibration damping
Hardness
Custom Shore hardness available
Application
Automotive, general machinery, industrial equipment, specialty machinery
Standard: Goods are typically supplied in about 20-25kg/carton.
Standardized Pallets: Goods are stacked on heat-treated (ISPM 15) or plastic pallets, optimized for forklift handling. Rigid Corner Protectors: High-impact cardboard corner guards are applied to the full height of the stack. This prevents the straps from cutting into the rubber and maintains the vertical integrity of the pallet.
What is the difference between PU rollers and rubber rollers?
Polyurethane offers higher stiffness, significantly better wear and tear resistance, and greater load capacity. Rubber is softer and provides better grip on some surfaces. PU is preferred for high-load, high-cycle industrial applications.
What hardness range is available?
We offer PU rollers from 60 Shore A (soft, high-grip) to 60 Shore D (hard, low-friction), allowing precise tuning for each application.
Can PU rollers be used in conveyor systems?
Yes. They are widely used as belt rollers, guide rollers, and idler rollers, offering long life and low rolling resistance.
Do PU rollers damage the surfaces they contact?
No. Polyurethane is non-marking and gentle on most surfaces, making it ideal for delicate materials such as paper, film, and textiles.
Are these rollers resistant to oils and chemicals?
Yes. Polyurethane offers good resistance to oils, greases, and many industrial solvents — outperforming natural rubber in contaminated environments.
Do you offer bonded metal cores?
Yes. Bonded steel, stainless steel, or aluminum cores are available for secure mounting and precise fitment.
Can you produce custom sizes and shapes?
Absolutely. We cast rollers to your technical drawings or samples – any diameter, width, hardness, and color. OEM orders welcome.
What is the typical lifespan of a PU roller?
With proper material selection, PU rollers typically last 2 to 5 times longer than equivalent rubber rollers in high-wear applications.
