Polyurethane shock absorber block

Item No. PP-011

When two metal parts collide, something has to give. Our PU buffer blocks are engineered to be that something — absorbing impact energy, damping vibration, and holding moving components in controlled alignment without cracking, flattening, or crumbling under load.

Cast from premium polyurethane, these blocks deliver what rubber simply cannot: higher stiffness, dramatically better wear resistance, and reliable performance in oil-soaked, abrasive, or high-cycle environments. The payoff is less structural fatigue, quieter operation, and a service life measured in years rather than months.

Key Features

Cast polyurethane body – elastic, dimensionally stable, resistant to compression set

Stiffer than rubber – carries heavier impact loads with less deflection

2–5× longer wear life – outperforms rubber in high-friction service

Resists tearing & chunking – handles edge loading and repeated impact

Oil, grease & chemical tolerant – works where rubber swells or degrades

Tunable hardness – 60 Shore A to 60 Shore D, matched to each application

Multiple block profiles – rectangular, cylindrical, square, custom shapes

Optional bonded metal inserts – secure mounting, precise fitment

Non-marking & low noise – smooth energy absorption without surface damage

Built to your drawing – any size, shape, hardness, or color

Advantages

Impact Energy, Absorbed – Cushions shock loads that would otherwise crack frames, loosen fasteners, or fatigue metal structures.

Wear That Rubber Can't Match – In high-friction, high-cycle service, PU lasts 2 to 5 times longer, cutting replacement frequency and downtime.

Stable in Hostile Environments – Oils, greases, abrasion, and edge loading don't cause PU to swell, chunk, or fail the way rubber does.

Firmer, More Predictable Cushioning – Higher stiffness means less unwanted deflection, keeping connected parts in tighter alignment.

Applications

Vehicle suspension – bump stops, jounce bumpers, control arm buffers

Engineering machinery – excavators, loaders, cranes, drilling rigs

Mining equipment – crusher buffers, screen supports, conveyor impact blocks

Industrial machinery – machine mounts, vibration isolation pads, end stops

Material handling – forklift bumpers, cart stops, conveyor guides

Agricultural equipment – tractor linkages, implement buffers, hitch stops

Standard package for rubber molded parts
Standard package for rubber molded parts

Standard: Goods are typically supplied in about 20-25kg/carton.

Complete Pallet Preparation for rubber molded parts
Complete Pallet Preparation for rubber molded parts

Standardized Pallets: Goods are stacked on heat-treated (ISPM 15) or plastic pallets, optimized for forklift handling. Rigid Corner Protectors: High-impact cardboard corner guards are applied to the full height of the stack. This prevents the straps from cutting into the rubber and maintains the vertical integrity of the pallet.

What are PU buffer blocks used for?

They absorb impact and damp vibration between moving parts — used as bump stops, machine mounts, end stops, and impact cushions in machinery, vehicles, and mining equipment.

How do they compare to rubber buffers?

PU is stiffer, far more wear-resistant, and handles heavier impact loads. Rubber is softer and better at isolating high-frequency vibration. For high-load, high-impact work, PU wins.

What hardness can you produce?

From 60 Shore A (flexible, high-damping) to 60 Shore D (rigid, high-load). Hardness is selected to match your impact and vibration requirements.

What shapes are available?

Rectangular, cylindrical, square, and fully custom profiles — cast to your specifications.

Can they be used in vehicle suspension?

Yes. They are widely used as bump stops, jounce bumpers, and control arm buffers.

Are they resistant to oils and chemicals?

Yes. PU resists oils, greases, and many industrial solvents — outperforming natural rubber in contaminated environments.

Do you offer bonded metal inserts?

Yes. Steel, stainless steel, or aluminum inserts are available for secure mounting.

Can you make custom sizes and shapes?

Absolutely. We cast to your drawings or samples — any size, shape, hardness, and color. OEM orders welcome.

How long do PU buffer blocks last?

Typically 2 to 5 times longer than equivalent rubber buffers in high-wear, high-impact service.

What colors are available?

Natural amber, black, and red as standard. Custom colors on request.

What quality standards do you meet?

ISO 9001 quality management systems. Material certifications and test reports available on request.
