Standardized Pallets: Goods are stacked on heat-treated (ISPM 15) or plastic pallets, optimized for forklift handling. Rigid Corner Protectors: High-impact cardboard corner guards are applied to the full height of the stack. This prevents the straps from cutting into the rubber and maintains the vertical integrity of the pallet.
Standard Rolls: Goods are typically supplied in 50m or 100m continuous rolls, precision-coiled to maintain the profile’s structural shape.
Can talcum powder be applied to the surface of the silicone U-channel profiles?
Yes, absolutely. Applying talcum powder (or silicone anti-tack coating) to the surface reduces surface friction and eliminates stickiness. This makes sliding or slotting the profile onto long panels much easier during installation, while also preventing dust accumulation and prolonging the service life during storage.
What is a silicone round U-channel profile used for?
Silicone round U-channel profiles are primarily used for edge protection and gap sealing. The U-shape slots over sheet metal, glass, or plastic panels to guard sharp edges against damage, while the rounded crown compresses easily to create an effective seal against dust, water, and air leaks.
Do I need adhesive to install these U-channel profiles?
No, adhesive is not strictly required. For light-duty or temporary applications, you can simply push-fit (slot in) the profile over the edge, making it easily removable and reusable. However, for high-vibration, high-use, or permanently sealed environments, using a silicone-compatible adhesive is recommended.
What temperature range can these silicone profiles withstand?
Our standard silicone U-channel profiles operate continuously between -60°C to +200°C (-76°F to +392°F). We also supply specialized high-temperature grades that can withstand thermal spikes up to +300°C (+572°F).
Can you manufacture custom size U-channel profiles?
