First Mold Inspection Box Setup in Rubber Molding & Curing Workshop for Zero Defect Quality Control

September 08, 2026

The molding and vulcanization stage is the core procedure that determines the dimensional accuracy, structural stability and physical performance of rubber molded parts. Minor abnormalities in molds, temperature parameters or equipment operation in the initial production stage will lead to batch quality defects, affecting product tightness, wear resistance and service life. To build a more rigorous full-process quality control system and avoid batch production errors, our company has implemented a standardized first mold inspection box management system in the entire rubber molded parts (rubber molding and curing) production area.

The first mold inspection box is an exclusive designated placement area for the first mold product of every working shift. After the first mold of rubber molded parts is completed through high-temperature vulcanization and molding, workers will immediately place the finished product into the dedicated first mold inspection box, isolating it from mass production products to avoid mixing. This independent placement mechanism provides a standardized inspection carrier for front-line self-inspection and professional quality supervision.

In terms of inspection standards, the process adopts a dual-inspection mode ofworker self-inspection + quality inspector professional inspection. Production workers first check the first mold product’s appearance, size, surface smoothness and molding integrity to confirm no bubbles, deformation, missing materials or vulcanization insufficiency. Subsequently, professional quality inspectors conduct systematic sampling and testing on product dimensional tolerance, hardness, vulcanization degree and structural compliance, and record all inspection data in detail.

Only when the first mold product fully meets production standards and passes double inspection can the workshop officially start continuous mass production. If any quality abnormality is found in the first mold, the production team will suspend operation immediately, adjust mold parameters, vulcanization temperature, pressure and process conditions, and re-inspect until the product is qualified. This strict pre-production inspection mechanism fundamentally intercepts initial process defects, effectively reduces batch scrap rate, and greatly improves the yield and quality stability of rubber molded parts.

Combined with our original raw material incoming inspection, FIFO inventory management and full-process traceability system, the first mold inspection mechanism further improves the closed-loop quality management system of rubber molded parts. We always adhere to front-end prevention and precise quality control in every production procedure, continuously optimize production standards, and provide high-precision, high-stability and long-service-life custom rubber molded parts for automotive, electronics, machinery, aerospace and other industrial fields.
