How to choose the material of O-Ring cord?

As a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality sealing solutions, we are today releasing a professional guide designed to help industries select the best O-ring materials to address common challenges in industrial sealing applications.

O-rings are crucial for ensuring leak-proof performance in hydraulic, pneumatic, automotive, and chemical systems, and the choice of material directly impacts their durability and efficiency. This guide highlights key factors to consider when selecting materials, including operating temperature, chemical exposure, pressure requirements, and environmental conditions.

NBR O-Ring Cord :

Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) is suitable for general industrial applications, such as hydraulic systems, due to its excellent oil resistance and cost-effectiveness and can operate normally in temperature ranges from -40°C to 100°C.

FKM O-ring cord :

Fluororubber (FKM) is suitable for harsh environments with high temperatures (up to 200°C) and strong chemical exposure and is widely used in the chemical and automotive industries.

EPDM O-ring cord :

Ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber is suitable for outdoor and water-based applications, offering excellent ozone and UV resistance.

Silicone O-Ring cord :

Silicone rubber (VMQ) is ideal for food, medical and cryogenic environments.

Incorrect material selection can lead to premature equipment failure and high downtime costs. Our guide provides practical insights, combined with our customized O-ring cord solutions to help customers make informed choices.
