New High-Hardness Weather-Resistant Glass Sealing Strips Launched with Optimized Performance

July 21, 2026

The upgraded special-shaped insulating glass sealing strip (as shown in the attached photo) adopts an integrated extrusion molding structure, with a central reinforcing rib and curved wrapping surfaces on both sides. It fits perfectly into the glass grooves of various thermal break aluminum, plastic steel doors, windows and architectural curtain walls. In response to feedback from clients that the original strips were too soft, prone to collapse and reduced sealing adhesion after long-term use, our R&D team adjusted the rubber blending formula to raise the overall hardness and structural support of the product, eliminating common issues of soft sealing strips such as long-term deformation, air leakage and water seepage.

Core Upgraded Advantages of the Product

1. Elevated Hardness Grade & Greatly Improved Support Performance

Compared with the standard samples previously sent to clients, the new strips feature a denser and firmer texture with markedly enhanced resistance to compression deformation. After installation, they maintain tight contact between glass and profile grooves, preventing gaps caused by softened strips and permanently safeguarding the air and water tightness of doors and windows.

2. Integrated Special-Shaped Structure for Broad Installation Compatibility

Equipped with a central positioning rib, the strip automatically centers and clamps the glass during installation. Curved wrapping edges on both sides fully cover glass edges, cutting down gluing procedures and boosting assembly efficiency. The seamless one-piece molding structurally minimizes risks of water infiltration and dust accumulation.

3. Weather-Resistant Rubber Base Material Extends Service Life of Doors & Windows

Manufactured from temperature-resistant, anti-aging modified PVC or EPDM raw materials, the strips resist cracking, shrinkage, embrittlement under prolonged outdoor sunlight exposure or frigid low temperatures. They are suitable for long-term application in residential doors & windows, sunrooms, engineering curtain walls and other scenarios.

4. Customizable Services to Meet Diverse Demands

Besides our newly launched high-hardness version, we offer customized strips in soft, medium and multiple hardness grades. We can adjust cross-section dimensions, colors and materials to match clients’ door and window profile specifications, and provide free sample delivery for on-site hardness comparison tests.

Market Application Value

Glass sealing strips are vital components for blocking noise, rain and cold wind. While soft strips offer a smoother installation feel, they easily lose resilience and supporting force under long-term load on high-rise and large-size curtain walls. Our upgraded high-hardness strips precisely cater to project orders and high-end home decoration clients, balancing convenient installation and long-term structural stability.

Sample applications for the new sealing strips are now open to clients. Our sales team can produce comparative samples against clients’ existing old strips to demonstrate the differences in hardness and supporting performance directly. Moving forward, we will continue to deepen R&D on sealing profile formulas, iterate products targeting real pain points of clients, and empower the high-quality development of the door and window industry with premium rubber and plastic sealing accessories.
